When can you see whale sharks in Panama?
Whale sharks are a migratory species that travel long distances in search for food, ideal water temperatures and mating opportunities. The best time to see whale sharks in Panama is between January and March, although sightings have been reported in the months of December and April too. Given their migration depends heavily on ocean currents and the availability of plankton, it is recommended to check in with local dive centers beforehand on latest sightings to increase your chances of witnessing a whale shark during your stay in Panama. 
 
Where is it possible to see whale sharks in Panama?

During the migration months through Panama, whale sharks are usually frequent the waters around Coiba National Park and the surrounding marine areas within the Gulf of Chiriqui, and the Pearl Islands.
