Selva Terra is located on Isla Boca Brava on Panama’s Pacific coast in the Gulf of Chiriquí, just 60 miles south of Costa Rica. The closest airport is David (DAV), located only an hour away from the resort.

For international travelers, the fastest and most convenient route is to fly into Panama City’s Tocumen International Airport (PTY), then connect on a short domestic flight to David (DAV), where your journey to Selva Terra begins. From there, your arrival becomes an immersive transition—from the energy of the city to the tranquility of an untouched island sanctuary, where rainforest, ocean, and complete seclusion await.

How to get here

  • Step 1. International Arrivals to PTY
    Panama City Tocumen (PTY) is the main international airport for commercial airlines. You can also private charter directly to David (DAV) for the fastest transfer to Selva Terra.
  • Step 2. Domestic Flight to DAV
    Two airlines offer daily service between Panama City and David, with more than five departures each way: Copa Airlines (from PTY airport) and Air Panama (from PAC). Private charters are also available upon request.
  • Step 3. Airport transfer from David Airport to Selva Terra, arranged by the resort.
    Upon arrival in David, you'll be warmly greeted by our driver and personally escorted on a scenic journey through the peninsula, followed by a short guided boat ride into the reserve and resort. The travel time from David Airport to Selva Terra is approximately 1 hour.

Fly into Panama City’s Tocumen International Airport (PTY), and take a connecting flight to David Enrique Malek Airport (DAV). Copa Airlines runs this route. Other airlines also fly to DAV from domestic airports within Panama City, such as Air Panama (from PAC Albrook).

The flight time is under 1 hour. Once you arrive in David, we will take care of the rest.

Boca Chica is the closest town, located just 15 minutes away from the resort via boat.

Yes, we can pick you up in private transportation from Golfito Airport or at the border. From the border, the journey takes around 2 hours door to door.

Every group buyout includes one transfer each way. If you are joining a retreat or private buyout, contact the organizer to find out what times the transfers have been arranged at. For guests that require additional transfers, contact info@selvaterraresort.com to make arrangements for members of your party traveling outside of the group.
