Travel Requirements for Panama

Check your Passport Expiry Date

Your passport must valid for at least 3 months past the date of entry. This is the case for US and Canadian citizens, but in some cases it is 6 months. Check with your airline beforehand to be on the safe side.

Book a Return Ticket to Prove your Departure Date from Panama

A return ticket to your home country or an onward destination is required when booking your holiday in Panama. In most cases, you will have to show the airline before boarding your flight.

Traveling within Panama

Traveling some form of photo identification, such as your passport or ID, is mandatory when traveling around the country. Anyone not carrying identification may be held and will be penalized by the Panamanian authorities.
